"World Citizen"?

By happenstance i came across a blog tonight which had a simliar title to mine, called 'worldcitizen@blogspot' or some such and found their discripition below:

-quote-

"world citizen"
Someone who lives outside of their 'home' country and takes a global view on life.
OK, there has to be a much better definition but this will do for starters.

"passports"
What are they?
Some think they are about nationality.
No way.
They are economic documents. Lucky I have a good one - one that generally lets me move around easily & work in lots of places.
But doesn't that mean that when people talk about passports they aren't talking about nationality, national pride, national culture?
They are talking about economic survival, lifestyle, freedom to travel etc..
Conclusion, passports don't matter - have as many as you can.

-end quote-

I like this! might sounds a bit simplistic but it resonates with thoughts i have about what it means to be a citizen of the world. my wish is for the world to become more interconnected and to share a common vision for the development of the human species and the planet as a whole.
without peace this wont happen. "no peace, no justice" as Peter Tosh said, "We aint gonna find no peace tell we get equal rights and justice"
